I know many times people will say "I've got Photoshop, but I wouldn't know what to do with it."

I'm going to go through photoshop techniques mainly used for portraiture (people) editing. Along the way, I'll introduce to you some of the more advanced features of photoshop. Not in any particular order, but these are probably things i'll be running through.

0) Non destructive editing/layering
1) touching up people
- skin
- eyes
- contouring
- shadows
- digital make up
2) hair adjustments
3) various selection techniques
4) various shortcuts
5) colour adjustments
6) environmental adjustments
7) exposure correction
8) HDR, the iamacow method

After knowing many of these, you'll able to apply these techniques to different images, to any type of images you'd like to. If need, we can work with some images that we take on the spot. Alternatively participants can feel free to send some photos to me and i'll see how I can improve them.

This is more of photo editing then computer graphic.

Note: The Speaker of this talk is Iamacow from the forum SGcafe. A famous photographer, skilled at touching up photos to make them look better. so if interested you can attend the talk this coming June 5th.

CAMP And Class this week

Details of the camp

Date: 11 to 13 June 2007
Time of Meeting: 1pm(come after lunch pls)
Fee: $17 per head
Program highlights: Ice breaking games, Night Walk, Simpei, and etc
free gifts: T-Shirt, 5 meals, and a wonderful experiences

Everyone, the camp is next week and all SPLA members are invited to attend the camp, a three day two night camp, purely to enjoy the night life of school and understand why SP is also call the Shalet(chalet) poly.

Learn to "love" school, and why its the best in Singapore.

Updates: Sorry everyone, but the camp is going to be postponed because, my officer's deputy director, decided that everyone should be studying during the E-learning week.

So our only option is to postpone the camp to the first week of the holidays. From 11 to 13 June 2007, same time, same events.(well maybe improved!)

Objectives:
To enable participant(s)produce their own props for cosplay

Brief synopsis/ outline of workshop:
Participant(s) are encourages to design and make props & weapons besides making of anime’s props & weapons.
Usage of different materials and methods in props & weapons making.

Day: Monday-Sunday (except holidays)

Workshop Fee: Based on time used

Due to safety & limited workstations;
Max no. of pax per slot :10- 12

Materials fee : based on Cost sharing & bulk purchases
As we are ordering materials in bulk quanity,
cost are lower and avoid wastage.
Materials can be share among particpants.
Basic materials like wood, sand paper, paints &
foams should be ard $40-$60 per project.

Order of material: min 3 days before start of your slot (subject to
availability of materials)

No restriction on No. of prop/ weapon participant going to make.
